This is a quick and easy tutorial to repair firmware or update firmware of Xperia series on Windows.
Why would you need to repair software on Xperia Companion?
1. You forgot your passcode
2. Your phone became lagged
3. You want a clean / fresh install Firmware with updated version officially from Sony Xperia
*Note: Some of Xperia Docomo (Japanese version) might not work well with Xperia Companion.
Model I used and tested: Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia XZ Premium Global version (not Docomo version)
Download Xperia Companion https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00236877
Instruction:
1. Enable Developer Mode on Settings
2. Connect Phone to PC
3. Open Xperia Companion
4. Click Repair, then Follow Instruction
5. Disconnect phone from PC after done.
6. Startup the phone. Done!
*Warning: Backup all your data before proceeding!
